In this post, I will give a roadmap for migrating an EBS R12 from Windows 32 bit to Linux 64 bit (Oracle Linux 5). Actually, this roadmap is applicable for any supported EBS migrations regardless of the source and Target Operating Systems.
Also a Real Life story which will give you the detailed patches, command and approaches used in this kind of a migration, will be released in this blog in the following days. So just be contented with this post, while I m preparing the other one.

If the target and source endians are the same, we use transportable database for the db migration and
we install only the techstack and apply the patch that is supplied by Oracle in reply to our uploaded manifest of customer-specific files
