Oracle Cloud Day 2018 -- "Core Banking -> Exadata Cloud at Customer (ECC) Migration" - our presentation

Here is the slides of the presentation that was prepared for telling a real life story of an Exadata Cloud at Customer migration project.

This was based on a big migration project that we recently completed..

Actually, in this migration project, we migrated several environments including data warehouses and OLTP databases. 

 

However; we focused more on migration of Core Banking database in this presentation.

This presentation was given in Oracle Cloud Day 2018, Istanbul and it was given in Turkish :)

As a result, the contents of the slides were prepared in Turkish :) (actually I couldn't arrange my time to translate this presentation to English yet)

The things we tried to explain in the presentation were the following;

• A closer look at the "Exadata Cloud at Customer + Oracle Cloud at Customer" environments..
• How is a big migration project done? (which phases? How do we choose the migration methods?, what is a migration strategy? what are the SOPs?What is a runbook? and etc..)
• The preperations that we did before migrating the Core Banking database to ECC.. (upgrades, infrastructure readiness,  tests , scheduling and etc..)
• A closer look at the migration processes of Core Banking database. (the migration methods used, the things we gained by migrating the Core Banking database to ECC)
